About the Role:

The North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for the position of Global Rostering System (GRS) System Lead Officer, both internally and externally.

This exciting opportunity will appeal to those with a passion for operational efficiency, resource management, and innovation in healthcare.

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for configuring and enhancing the GRS system to improve scheduling efficiency and adapt to the evolving needs of our ambulance service.

You will work closely with our resource scheduling department to ensure effective personnel allocation, maximising operational readiness and response times.

Your expertise will also be essential in analysing rostering data from GRS to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to enhance service delivery and resource management.

In addition, you will develop and deliver training programmes for staff on GRS, ensuring proficiency in utilising these systems, and update stakeholders on developments regarding GRS, fostering engagement and transparency.

We estimate that this role will pay around £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and enhance the GRS system to improve scheduling efficiency
  • Work with the resource scheduling department to ensure effective personnel allocation
  • Analyse rostering data from GRS to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and deliver training programmes for staff on GRS
  • Update stakeholders on developments regarding GRS

Requirements:

  • Degree level or relevant experience working in operations and/or resource scheduling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to think logically and clearly to make rational decisions
  • Ability to analyse complex and conflicting data sets and solve difficult problems
