Consultant in Neurology and Neurophysiology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Neurology and Neurophysiology to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a dual accredited neurologist and neurophysiologist, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and high-standard clinical neurophysiology service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a clinical neurophysiology service that meets the needs of our patients and staff.
- Work closely with our neurology and neurophysiology teams to provide a seamless and integrated service.
- Conduct electro-encephalography, video telemetry, electromyography, evoked response testing, and intraoperative monitoring.
- Participate in regular clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:
- MB BS or equivalent qualification.
- MRCP or equivalent qualification/demonstration of equivalent experience.
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Up-to-date and fit to practise safely.
- High level of clinical experience and competence in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology.
- Higher speciality training in complex techniques in clinical neurophysiology.
- Experience of training undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors.
- Participation in regular clinical audit.
