Neurology Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurology Consultant to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Neurosciences Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting clinical neurophysiology services, and contributing to the development of our neurology and neurophysiology services.
About the RoleThis is a 10 PA substantive consultant post in Neurology and Neurophysiology (dual accreditation). The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside our existing team of 18 neurology consultants and 3 neurophysiologists to deliver a comprehensive and high-standard clinical neurophysiology service. You will be responsible for providing electro-encephalography, video telemetry, electromyography, evoked response testing, and intraoperative monitoring services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurological conditions.
- Conduct clinical neurophysiology services, including electro-encephalography, video telemetry, electromyography, evoked response testing, and intraoperative monitoring.
- Develop and implement new clinical neurophysiology services to meet the needs of our patients.
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless and integrated care.
- Contribute to the development of our neurology and neurophysiology services, including the development of new procedures and protocols.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Neurology Consultant who possesses the following qualities:
- MB BS or equivalent qualification.
- MRCP or equivalent qualification/demonstration of equivalent experience.
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Is up to date and fit to practise safely.
