About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Highway Design Engineer to join our team at Moira. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design of highway projects, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with colleagues across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of highway projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business goals and meet client demands
  • Manage multiple projects and clients, prioritizing tasks and deadlines
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Chartered engineer with CIWEM, ICE, and/or CIHT
  • Minimum of three years' experience in highway design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Causeway Flow or equivalent design software
  • Strong understanding of CIRIA design guides, BRE digest, BS EN752, and Design and Construction Guidance
  • Experience with adoptable standards (Section 278, Section 38, and 104)
  • Commercial awareness of costing, budgets, and quotations
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
