Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Highway Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Highway Engineer to join our team at Carrington West. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-profile highway projects and contributing to the growth and development of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and delivery of highway projects, ensuring high standards and timely completion
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing technical guidance and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and standards
  • Collaborate with senior team members and junior engineers to achieve project goals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of junior team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in highway design and drainage, preferably in a UK consultancy
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong understanding of highway design standards and guidelines, including DMRB and local authority guidelines
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership is welcomed but not essential
Desirable Skills:
  • Technical experience in Section 278 / 38 Highway Designs, residential estate roads, and commercial/industrial access
  • Knowledge of Site3D, Infodrainage, flood risk assessments, and sustainable urban drainage strategies (SuDS)
