About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Web Developer to join our team at NRG. As a Junior Web Developer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of our client's external marketing websites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revamp and maintain existing public-facing websites to ensure they are visually appealing and user-friendly.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to implement an SEO strategy that boosts web traffic and drives new client growth.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to enhance web pages for speed, scalability, and SEO performance.
  • Utilize PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML to create visually appealing page designs that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Translate designs from Figma into fully functional webpages, with a strong focus on detail and quality.
  • Develop responsive, mobile-optimized webpages that provide an excellent user experience.
  • Participate in daily standup meetings to ensure seamless communication and collaboration with the team.
  • Develop strong working relationships with other teams, including Marketing, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to web development.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and SQL.
  • Ability to work with databases and ensure data integrity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of WordPress and its capabilities.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and a desire to expand your knowledge in this area.
  • Some knowledge of using a Command Line Interface (CLI) and its applications.
  • Understanding of software and application architecture, including domains and DNS records.
