About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Web Developer with expertise in .NET and Umbraco to join our innovative Technology Team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the digital experiences of our customers, collaborating with our team to craft exceptional web-based applications that enhance customer journeys in the travel sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces for our websites and digital platforms.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your deep knowledge of .NET and Umbraco to build robust and scalable web applications.
  • Streamlined Delivery: Implement and manage efficient CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, ensuring seamless deployments.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Performance-Driven: Optimize applications for speed, efficiency, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Quality Assurance: Thoroughly test code to ensure a high-quality user experience. Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
  • Security-Minded: Adhere to best practices for information security to protect sensitive customer data.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development, .NET, Umbraco, CI/CD pipelines, and information security.
  • Mentorship: Guide and support junior and less experienced developers, sharing your knowledge and fostering their professional development.
Qualifications
  • Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience as a developer using .NET and Umbraco. For Senior Developer consideration, a more extensive track record is desired.
  • Core Skills: In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
  • .NET & Umbraco Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency in developing web applications using .NET and Umbraco CMS.
  • CI/CD Expertise: Experience in setting up and managing deployment pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Security Awareness: Understanding of information security principles and best practices for web development.
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership (Senior Developer): Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide other developers.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Front-End Frameworks: Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular).
  • API Integration: Experience in integrating with RESTful APIs.
  • Laravel Experience: Familiarity with the Laravel PHP framework.
  • Security Certifications: Certifications related to information security (e.g., CISSP, CEH).
Location and Flexibility

We ideally require you to be available to work from our Sunderland office at least 3 days a week. We offer flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance.
