Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Positive Healthcare PLC. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a 13-bed acute mental health service for women in East London. Our service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals experiencing an acute episode of mental illness.

The ethos of our service revolves around assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment, planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. We focus on stabilisation, supporting service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills, and prepare for independent life back in the community.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care, encompassing OT assessments, treatment, and management of individuals/interventions and support for individuals within the service. You will assess, implement, and develop an OT treatment programme according to an individual's identified needs, based on findings from assessments including associated risks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to service users
- Conduct OT assessments, developing treatment plans accordingly
- Implement and evaluate interventions to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care pathways

Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualifications
- Registration with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist
- Proven experience in mental health settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
