Experienced Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our specialist team. As an experienced support worker or senior support worker, you will have a deep understanding of how trauma and a young person's journey through life impacts their current behaviours, communication, and understanding.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting adults/young people in a residential setting, confidence in working with colleagues during heightened behaviours to de-escalate situations, and the ability to use de-escalation techniques to keep children and young people safe. You will also have experience making decisions and taking action in challenging situations, as well as maintaining accurate daily records and incident reports.
This role offers an elevated pay rate, a rolling rota for consistency and predictability, a supportive team environment, excellent communication from your Randstad local specialist team, various pay options, and access to training for professional development.
What can you expect from this role?
- Providing day-to-day support relating to activities, appointments, family contact, and more.
- Engaging and encouraging young adults to participate in activities and form structure.
- Reporting accurately and providing information to support care plan development and goals.
- Playing a critical role in the safety and wellbeing of individuals.
Requirements:
To excel in this specialist setting, you will need to demonstrate:
- Experience working in a residential setting with adults/young people.
- Confidence in working with colleagues during heightened behaviours.
- Ability to use de-escalation techniques to ensure safety.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills in challenging situations.
- Accurate record-keeping and reporting skills.
Benefits:
This role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
