About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Addictions Counsellor to join our team at Priory Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with addiction to achieve recovery and lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate process-oriented and supportive groups to promote recovery and well-being
  • Support patients moving through the 12 steps of recovery, requiring a thorough knowledge of each step
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments, inpatient assessments, and various groups, as well as 1:1 therapy with inpatients and outpatients
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including mental health nurses, ward doctors, and therapists, participating in ward rounds and contributing to weekly care planning
Requirements
  • Appropriate qualification, completed
  • Registration with the NCPS or BACP
  • Desirable: Accredited therapist
