Job Title: Addictions Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Addictions Counsellor to join our team at Priory Hospital North London. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with addiction to achieve recovery and lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate process-oriented and supportive groups to promote recovery and well-being
  • Support patients through the 12 steps of recovery, requiring a thorough knowledge of each step
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments, inpatient assessments, and 1:1 therapy sessions with inpatients and outpatients
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to contribute to weekly care planning and participate in ward rounds
  • Manage a caseload independently and proactively, while working in synergy with the team

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualification in counselling or a related field, completed
  • Registration with the NCPS or BACP
  • Desirable: Accredited therapist with experience of working with families and carers of individuals with addiction
