Job Title: Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Project Engineer
Job Summary:
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Project Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading and managing electrical and instrumentation projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical and instrumentation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage and coordinate the work of electrical and instrumentation engineers, technicians, and other project team members to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans to ensure project delivery.
- Collaborate with other project teams to ensure seamless project delivery and minimize conflicts.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
- Ensure effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project delivery and minimize conflicts.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control - preferably chartered.
- Experience and proven track record of delivering complex engineering E+I projects.
- Experience of permit to work systems, including working at height, confined space, isolations.
- Experience of project budget control and reporting.
- Experience leading a team of discipline E+I engineers in a project environment.
- Experience with installations in hazardous areas (ATEX).
- Functional safety experience.
- NEBOSH or other safety qualification.
- Experience with site commissioning and fault finding.
Personal Skills and Key Competencies:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Good written, verbal communication skills.
- Planning skills.
- Computer literacy skills (Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Comfortable dealing with external and internal contractors.
