Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Project Manager

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Project Engineer to lead our capital projects at our Edinburgh and Annan sites. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation installations are carried out in accordance with our site engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the technical lead for all electrical and instrumentation installations on capital projects
- Manage contract electrical and instrumentation discipline engineers to ensure compliance with business standards
- Manage project EPC contractors to ensure designs are in compliance with site standards
- Ensure all capital projects are suitably scoped with regards to electrical and instrumentation activity
- Liaise with maintenance and compliance teams to ensure electrical and instrumentation proposals are aligned to site requirements
- Responsible for budget control and reporting for all projects under direction
- Manage functional safety compliance on capital projects
- Ensure new electrical and instrumentation equipment is assessed for safety, health, environmental, and quality impact
- Provide technical input into site standards to ensure they remain up to date and aligned with current best practice
- Effectively plan resource for all electrical and instrumentation activity on capital projects
- Ensure IS calculations and loop drawings are updated for all capital projects
- Provide hands-on support during project handover
- Support training of operational teams for new installations
- Ensure qualification and quality obligations are met for all project electrical and instrumentation activity
- Provide technical guidance to all departments
- Qualified in electrical, instrumentation, and control - preferably chartered
- Experience and proven track record of delivering complex engineering electrical and instrumentation projects
- Experience of permit to work systems, including working at height, confined space, isolations
- Experience of project budget control and reporting
- Experience leading a team of discipline electrical and instrumentation engineers in a project environment
- Experience with installations in hazardous areas (ATEX)
- Functional safety experience desirable
- NEBOSH or other safety qualification desirable
- Experience with site commissioning and fault finding
