Job Summary
My Ohana is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join our team. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your own room, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of your room, promoting good practice and setting a positive example for your team.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and achievements.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meal times, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Lead and support your team in planning and delivering high-quality activities that meet the needs of our children, aligned with the EYFS framework.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress, including observations and next steps.
- In the absence of the nursery manager or deputy, assist with the overall management of the nursery and supervision of the team.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Requirements
- Minimum L3 childcare qualification.
- Proven experience working with children from birth to 5 years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
