About the Job:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Genetic Technologist to contribute to our Clinical Genomics Service. As a key member of our team, you will undertake molecular diagnostic testing and analysis, requiring in-depth knowledge of the work area. The range of tests available will be continuously developed, and you will be responsible for validating and verifying new techniques and tests, including NGS and ddPCR for molecular diagnostics in haematological and solid tumours.

You will assist in training new staff members and visitors, as well as contribute to IT development and data management related to the technical aspects of the molecular service. You must be fully IT literate and able to support activities such as quality management, equipment maintenance, and participate in the department's training programme.

You will perform analysis using complex genetics software, report specialised molecular investigations, and manage areas of existing service work in the laboratory, providing an efficient and high-quality molecular diagnostic service in haematological and solid tumours.

The successful candidate will have a strong educational background in mathematics, with evidence of continuous professional development, experience working in all areas of relevant diagnostic laboratories, and the ability to write, review, and follow SOPs.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

Location: Sutton, Surrey
