Based in London, England, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Scientist to join our Genetics Service team at the South East Genomic Laboratory Hub (SEGLH) based at Guy's Hospital.

The successful candidate will work jointly between the Monogenics and Preimplantation Genetic Testing of Monogenic disorders (PGT-M) teams, comprising core and specialist services in the SEGLH hub laboratory.

Responsibilities include SNP and STR linkage analysis, Sanger sequencing, and working closely with the Genetics Laboratories and satellite centres to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to service development, participate in RCPath training and examinations, and engage in quality improvement initiatives.

We offer a comprehensive genomics service for 8 million people, providing specialist germline and cancer tests, as well as whole exome sequencing.

Located within Guy's Hospital site, our Genetics department collaborates with other pathology disciplines and research groups, including GSTfT Biomedical Research Centre and Genomics Innovation Unit.

We estimate this role to be worth approximately £45,000-60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
