Environmental Consultant Director

The role involves leading a team of ecologists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery. You will work closely with other teams, including Planning, Placemaking, Engineering, Transportation, and Asset Management, to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities- Lead the ecology team in the Cumbria region, ensuring successful project delivery and guiding your team to achieve their full potential.
- Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues from across the business, facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to a diverse project portfolio, providing expert ecology advice across various sectors, including Residential, Defence, Energy, Government Services, and Transport.
- Work closely with other teams, including our own Planners, Archaeologists, Landscape Architects, Masterplanners, and Engineers, to deliver projects to the highest standards.
- Experience in leading ecology teams, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional site work and travel, while prioritizing work-life balance.
- Chartered Environmentalist/Ecologist status (or equivalent) and a willingness to continue professional development.
- Competitive salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
