About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Consultant to join our team on the Carlisle Southern Link Road project. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the project meets the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience of working on major infrastructure projects. You will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and industry best practice, and be able to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake assurance and monitoring compliance against the business management system with regards to HSE and client expectations.
  • Provide timely and competent advice to project teams on all matters of Health, Safety, and Environmental on a day-to-day basis.
  • Lead assurance activities on-site, focusing on risk management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Conduct monthly SSERs to track project HSE performance.

Requirements

  • Previous health and safety or construction experience is an advantage, however, training will be provided where required.
  • Strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in IT tools (PowerApps, PowerBI, Excel, MS Office) and digital software.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to solve problems and manage data effectively.
