Job Title: Drawing Office Manager

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

We are seeking a highly skilled Drawing Office Manager to join our team at The Highfield Company. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading client interactions, analysing project requirements, and directing subcontract detailing and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficient Client Interaction: Lead client interactions to ensure satisfaction for both clients and our company.
  • Requirement Alignment: Analyse project requirements and align them with detailing teams.
  • Team Management: Direct subcontract detailing and engineering teams to produce compliant drawings and calculations.
  • Communication Facilitation: Host and manage design discussions, calls, and meetings with clients, detailers, and engineers.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and update client and internal design programs and registers.
  • Quality Assurance: Review Fabrication Pack to ensure incorporation of latest drawings and specifications.
  • Budget Monitoring: Monitor budget allowances throughout the design process and identify potential shortfalls.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers and Commercial Managers to align client requirements with internal budgets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Advanced Steel, Tekla.

Requirements:

  • Technically Experienced: Possess strong technical knowledge of metalwork experience, balconies, balustrade, etc.
  • Effective Communication: Be able to communicate effectively and collaborate well within teams.
  • Team Management: Experienced in the management of internal and external draughtsmen.
