Fleet Management Coordinator

Transport Operations Manager
Menzies Distribution is in search of an experienced Transport Operations Manager to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with our operational leaders, drivers, and quality assurance personnel to ensure the seamless operation of our transport services. Your key duties will include supervising our fleet, trailers, and material handling equipment to guarantee adherence to regulations, performing regular inspections of vehicle maintenance protocols, and effectively overseeing our drivers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee comprehensive transport operations
- Enhance operational efficiency and serve as the main liaison for clients
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage fleet operations and ensure legal adherence
- Plan routes for safe and punctual deliveries
- Ensure drivers report and rectify vehicle issues
- Engage with stakeholders to promote continuous improvement
- Track budget and performance metrics
- Coordinate urgent deliveries and pickups
- Provide assistance during operational disruptions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated experience in transport management
- Possess a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Strong leadership and people management abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of transport and health & safety regulations
- Capability to prioritize tasks and support decision-making
- Confidence in making informed decisions
