Job Overview:

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Care Practitioner to join our team in the Surgical Institute. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients undergoing robotic surgery procedures.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will have significant experience at a Surgical Care Practitioner level, assisting surgeons through robotic surgeries, with a strong background in abdominal and pelvic surgery. You will be responsible for developing research-based practice, quality assurance, and clinical audit, as well as mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Be autonomous in specialized skills related to Robotic surgery including prepping and draping, port incision, robot set up, instrumentation knowledge, management of bleeding, specimen management, and drain insertion.
  • Actively participate in surgical procedures at the direction and/or instruction of the Consultant surgeon.
  • Develop research-based practice, quality assurance in line with the Care Standards Act 2000, and clinical audit.
  • Facilitate junior members of the team with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD), setting goals, facilitating training opportunities, and mentoring as appropriate.
