About Our Role
At Iris Care Group, we're seeking an enthusiastic and caring Support Worker to join our team at William Street Flats, Swindon. As a key member of our team, you will be supporting individuals with complex needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviors, physical disabilities, and Mental Health conditions.
Responsibilities
- Encourage individuals to participate in their chosen activities or follow their interests, which may involve assisting them in the community.
- Coordinate scheduled activities for the individuals we support, using personalized rotas and liaising with others to ensure facilitated activities and appointments are attended.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and listening skills, as you will be supporting people who use various methods of communication.
- Knowledge, experience, or desire to support individuals with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, or Challenging Behaviour is essential.
- Good basic comprehension of the English language, including basic literacy and numerical skills, equivalent to GCSE level.
- Valid UK Driving Licence is required.
- Ongoing commitment to personal development and training.
