Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance Officer to join our team at John Charcol, an award-winning, whole of market mortgage broker. As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance are maintained throughout our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake FLoD adviser file monitoring activities required by the role.
- Facilitate remedial activity on quality issues identified through effective feedback, monitoring remedial actions to completion.
- Consistently meet the file review standards within prescribed timescales required under the T&C policy.
- Sample testing in response to identified risks and quality concerns.
- Assist the Compliance Manager with monthly MI/data for timely board reporting.
- Generate best practice and provide feedback to the business to help improve file quality and record-keeping standards.
- Support general Compliance-related queries and administrative tasks.
- Actively and positively contribute to the Compliance team.
- Proactively develop and maintain a strong core Compliance knowledge and keep up to date with key regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within a regulated or financial services environment.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment in the UK, and in particular FCA regulation.
- Good IT skills in a range of relevant applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
