About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Officer to join our team at John Charcol - Independent Mortgage Expertise. As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance are maintained throughout our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake FLoD adviser file monitoring activities required by the role.
  • Facilitate remedial activity on quality issues identified through effective feedback, monitoring remedial actions to completion.
  • Consistently meet the file review standards within prescribed timescales required under the T&C policy.
  • Sample testing in response to identified risks and quality concerns.
  • Assisting the Compliance Manager with monthly MI/data for timely board reporting.
  • Generate best practice and provide feedback to the business to help improve file quality and record-keeping standards.
  • Supporting with general Compliance-related queries and administrative tasks.
  • Actively and positively contribute to the Compliance team.
  • Proactively develop and maintain a strong core Compliance knowledge and keep up to date with key regulatory changes.
  • To undertake other relevant tasks as required by the Compliance Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within a regulated or financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment in the UK, and in particular FCA regulation.
  • Good IT skills in a range of relevant applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
