HVDC Project Delivery Expert

Join Hitachi Vantara Corporation as a HVDC Project Delivery Expert and contribute to the success of our Integrated Security Systems and Communication Systems team in Glasgow.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity comes with a competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum and offers a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality projects by analyzing customer specifications and ensuring that solutions meet requirements.
- Develop technical specification documents, conceptual designs, and BIM models, and configure and maintain BMS equipment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to produce, review, and coordinate technical information.
- Evaluate technical documents and drawings from vendors and sub-suppliers.
- Validate design confirmations against applicable regulations and technical specifications.
- Procure materials and services by evaluating price bids.
- Manage project activities and site operations.
- Produce, review, and coordinate technical subject matter documentation.
- Provide expert advice on best practices and solutions in accordance with standard processes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Cross-functional coordination with Civil, MEP, Electrical, and Mechanical departments.
- Efficient coordination with Project/Tender Team.
- Risk and opportunity identification.
Qualifications / Background
- Masters/Bachelors degree in mechanical/electrical/Electronics engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of telecommunication.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the UK.
- International regulations and standards knowledge.
- BIM and ACAD expertise.
- Site installation supervision and onsite commissioning experience.
- Access control system, CCTV, Intruder detection system, Public address system, Telecommunication system, and Video conference systems design experience.
- Signaling, protocol testing, Building Management systems, Coverage studies, and building automation protocols familiarity.
- Programming languages (e.g., BACnet, Modbus) (Must), AutoCAD (Must), and BIM360 (Advantage), MS Office (Must).
