Job Title: Service Advisor

Salary:£27,000 - £30,000 per annum

Location:Hayes

This role involves managing the service desk, dealing with clients, customers and the workshop. The successful candidate will have experience in a commercial vehicle environment and be able to work effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist management in implementing and maintaining effective processes to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction levels.
  • To control and maximize service and repair bookings, ensuring all resources required are available on schedule.
  • To deliver gross profit in line with the business plan by maximizing hours sold, driving revenue per transaction and adhering to process.
  • To distribute and control the issue of work to technicians, maximizing quality and overall efficiency.
  • To ensure accurate completion of relevant documentation for each repair.
  • To adhere to manufacturer's warranty standards at all times.
  • To maintain a safe working environment, following the Company's Health and Safety policy.
  • To respond to telephone and walk-in enquiries, taking bookings for service and repair work and validating marketing records.
  • To use workshop loading tools to schedule and ensure maximum workshop utilization and profitability.
  • To manage the cash account and ensure cash payments are taken before releasing vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a commercial vehicle environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrably numerate and literate.
  • Good customer relations skills.
  • A calm and even temperament.
  • Ability to handle pressure without affecting working relationships and effectiveness.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Strong self-organizational skills.
