Housing and Wellbeing Advisor

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled professional to provide support to care leavers in Sefton. This role involves safeguarding, promoting well-being, and improving outcomes for young people in accordance with national guidelines and council procedures. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, knowledge of child and young person development, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by care leavers. The salary for this position is estimated at £15 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.

The key responsibilities of this role include:
• Providing advice and practical support to care leavers on financial capability, housing, education, employment, and community participation.
• Creating, monitoring, and reviewing person-centred Pathway Plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for care leavers.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to data protection regulations.
• Collaborating with council departments, partner agencies, and community groups to provide holistic support to care leavers.
• Participating in team meetings, training, and service development activities to continually improve service delivery.

The essential requirements for this role include:
• A Level 3 qualification related to working with children and young people.
• Experience working with children and young people, including those who are care leavers.
• Strong communication and direct work skills with children and young people.
• Familiarity with legislative frameworks and planning tools for Looked After Children and Care Leavers.
