Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores Operative to join our team on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. As a Stores Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, including receiving, storing, and issuing of materials and equipment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity in the stores operation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., supply chain management, logistics) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
