Job Description

Clinical Expertise

  • As a Senior Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition advice to patients undergoing obesity and bariatric surgery, ensuring optimal outcomes and quality of life.
  • You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, leveraging your knowledge of dietetics within the NHS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver structured education programs to promote healthy eating habits and weight management strategies.
  • Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals and gain informed consent, adhering to legal frameworks and HCPC standards.
  • Manage clinical risk within your patient caseload, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Nutrition Support Team to ensure seamless delivery of nutritional support services.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to communicate nutrition prescriptions and promote optimal patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • BSc/Postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience in multidisciplinary team working and formal teaching/lecturing
