About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Facades Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our Oak Business, you will be responsible for managing commercial aspects of facades projects, ensuring timely and profitable delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend tender handover meetings and manage cost information.
  • Develop and agree contract budgets, including profit/loss forecasts.
  • Monitor project budgets, updating forecasts as necessary.
  • Provide interim cost and value reconciliations, monitoring cashflows on Oracle.
  • Prepare and agree interim Applications for Payment and Final Accounts.
  • Procure subcontractors, including obtaining agreement on rates and measurements.
  • Implement subcontract payment controls and evaluate contract works.
  • Record confirmed verbal instructions with cost and/or time effects.
  • Perform miscellaneous procedures, including notices to subcontractors and office administration.
  • Monitor site progress, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Liaise with business unit departments to improve communication and develop company objectives.
About You
  • Strong commercial and technical knowledge, with a proven track record of managing commercial staff.
  • Experience in residential and commercial sectors, using differing construction systems.
  • Motivational individual with good leadership qualities.
  • Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.
