  1. Role Overview
  2. As a Customs and Export Control Expert at BMW Group, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customs and export control regulations and their implementation into business and IT processes.
  3. You will monitor legislative procedures and assess the consequences for BMW UK entities, including the timely filing of customs and tax returns for BMW entities in the UK and Ireland.
  4. You will design, enable, and operate tax, customs, and export control management processes and systems to ensure compliant operations for concerned UK & IE BMW Group entities.
  5. You will be responsible for risk management and the management of all requirements from various departments, including risk reporting for FR-30.
  6. Key Responsibilities
  7. Ensuring the proper tax base is used in accordance with legal and internal requirements to avoid administrative offences and criminal proceedings.
  8. Participating in the identification, analysis, and control of tax, customs, and export control risks of BMW entities in the UK and Ireland.
  9. Requirements
  10. University degree or equivalent in business administration, economics, or law, or vocational training in economics with additional qualifications.
  11. Working experience in customs/export control in a global corporation, with tax knowledge beneficial.
  12. Process modelling and SAP knowledge (ERP/S4HANA/SD/MM/SRM/GTS), with German language skills preferred.
  13. Excellent expertise and proficiency in process design, with excellent capacity in analysis, planning, and decision making.
  14. Possessing a high level of target and quality focus is essential.
