We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Aspris Childrens Services Limited. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with Autism & severe learning disabilities.
Job DescriptionThis is an excellent opportunity for you to work as part of our multi-disciplinary team, providing sensory support to young people who attend our schools and children's homes. You will be responsible for engaging with young people effectively and demonstrating a clear understanding of the role of a Sensory Occupational Therapist.
Key Responsibilities- Work with up to 60 young people who have autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
- Develop and implement individualised plans to support the sensory needs of each child
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting the children
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with Autism & severe learning disabilities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey sensitive information to families and other professionals
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the young people, when required
