Quality Manager Role

As a Quality Manager at Leonardo, you will lead the development and improvement of quality processes, culture, safety, and customer experience to achieve world-class production and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a business area quality management team, responsible for effective leadership, planning, and communication of objectives.
  • Support the Head of Quality, Head of Manufacturing Engineering, and Business Area leadership in identifying sector and program risks, threats, and opportunities.
  • Develop Project Assurance Plans (PAP) at the Program and Project level, defining project assurance activities aligned to risk, opportunity, and improvement.
  • Recognized as an expert in quality, operations, operations framework, manufacturing, leadership principles, and business processes.
  • People management and leadership skills, including effective performance and change management skills.
  • Experienced in maturity review at the highest level and assessing life cycle deliverables.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of all phases of the product life cycle and associated processes.
  • NPI/MRL quality experience bringing new electro-mechanical products to market.
  • Expert in influencing and negotiating with others using facts, proposals, data, and analysis.
  • Communicate quality at a leadership level in a non-technical influencing way.
  • Evidence of leadership of capability and process development within quality engineering and ability to implement change.
  • Ability to partner effectively with operations, project teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Success in mentoring and coaching to grow Quality excellence within the business.
  • Experienced in reducing TQNQ and implementing a root cause and corrective action culture.
