Renewable Energy Lawyer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Legal Counsel to join our team at Spencer Ogden. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in handling commercial contracts for various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and Negotiating Contracts: You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial contracts tailored to project needs, ensuring that they meet the requirements of all parties involved.
- Compliance and Risk Management: You will ensure compliance with key project contracts and identify potential risks, providing strategic advice to project owners to mitigate these risks.
- Legal Guidance and Support: You will provide timely legal and strategic guidance to project owners, ensuring that they are fully informed and supported throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Management: You will work closely with project teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Communication and Collaboration: You will communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including project owners, contractors, and other third parties, to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned.
Requirements:
- Strong Organizational and Prioritization Skills: You will have excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Business Acumen and Problem-Solving Abilities: You will have strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, and provide commercially viable solutions to complex issues.
- Relevant Experience: You will have at least 4 years of relevant experience in the energy sector, with a strong understanding of UK laws and regulations.
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation Experience: You will have experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, with a strong understanding of contract law and negotiation techniques.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: You will be adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing project requirements.
- Commitment to Learning and Development: You will be committed to ongoing learning and development, with a strong desire to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the energy sector.
