Deputy Care Home Manager Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Care Home Manager to join our team at TRC Yorkshire. As a Deputy Care Home Manager, you will play a key role in assisting the Home Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the care home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Home Manager in overseeing the care staff and ensuring the provision of high-quality care to residents.
  • Take charge of the care home in the absence of the Home Manager and make decisions to ensure the smooth running of the home.
  • Train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure that each resident's care plan and daily records are up to date and accurate.
  • Foster effective communication with residents' families and other external organizations.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager or in a similar role.
  • Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and staffing team.
