Deputy Care Home Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Care Home Manager to join our team at TRC Yorkshire. As a Deputy Care Home Manager, you will play a vital role in assisting the Home Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring the provision of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Home Manager in overseeing the care staff and assume full management in their absence.
  • Train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments of residents, ensure accurate and up-to-date care plans, and foster effective communication with residents' families and external organizations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and staffing team.

Requirements:

  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
  • Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care services.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
  • Ability to promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care programs.
