Job Details

Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Dorchester

Type of Work: Supporting school students with special educational needs

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting students with special educational needs in a school setting
  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with complex needs
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children, ideally within an SEND setting
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential
  • Right to Work: Must hold the right to work in the UK
  • DBS Certificate: Must hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • References: Provide two professional child-related references
