We are currently seeking a Senior Design Manager to join our team, who will play a pivotal role in leading the Place Based Thinking programme. This programme aims to deliver innovative and sustainable capital investment projects that align with our commitment to environmental and social prosperity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design delivery for the Place Based Thinking programme, ensuring high-quality engineering outputs that meet project standards.
- Develop and manage the engineering resource strategy, allocating resources effectively to meet project demands.
- Fulfil the role of CDM Principal Designer, prioritizing health, safety, and compliance in all design activities.
- Foster collaboration within the leadership team and with key stakeholders, driving the successful delivery of business objectives.
- Champion innovation and sustainability, integrating nature-based solutions and new digital technologies into the programme.
Requirements:
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary design teams within a design and build environment, particularly in the delivery of complex capital projects.
- Strong focus on health and safety, with experience in fulfilling the responsibilities of a CDM Principal Designer.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and drive innovative solutions.
