About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist to join our Therapies team at Saint Francis Hospice. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, forward-thinking organization that provides care to people throughout Havering, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Brentwood, and part of West Essex.

Job Summary

This part-time role involves undertaking specialist physiotherapy assessments and designing management programs for individuals with complex problems in palliative care. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records as an autonomous practitioner and supporting the planning and development of the physiotherapy service.

  • To undertake specialist physiotherapy assessment and design management programs for people presenting with complex problems in the field of palliative care, maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner.
  • To support and participate in the planning and ongoing service development of the physiotherapy service, working with the Therapies Manager.

The successful candidate will have broad physiotherapy experience at a band 6 level, understanding the role of physiotherapy in a palliative care setting, knowledge of risk management and clinical governance issues, and awareness of own competency level and how to seek appropriate help.

The salary for this role is approximately £35,894 per annum pro rata, depending on hours worked. The hospice offers a range of benefits, including free car parking, a subsidised restaurant, and continuation of NHS Superannuation Pension Scheme for existing members.
