The Role
As a Technical Leader & Systems Integrator Digital Engineering Evaluation Capability Principal, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be providing Technical Leadership and IT Systems Integration expertise to enable the project to meet its business objectives working in a partnership with the Deputy Chief Engineer Digital, Project and Programme Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with the Chief Digital Engineer, provide day-to-day leadership and the management of the Project and Programme engineering and technical teams with a focus on the overall IT Systems Solution.
- Delegate tasks accordingly to suitably qualified personnel and act as a Technical Leader delivering high-quality technical outputs.
- Embed Systems Engineering methodologies in programme technical delivery and ensure consistency of technical processes, methods, and tools to meet project requirements.
- Make key decisions on the selection and advice on technical solutions especially in respect to IT Systems.
- Manage customer requirements and system requirements, production, and the update of the Technical Delivery Plan and management of associated artefacts throughout the engineering project lifecycle.
This role is a full-time position based at our Bristol or Farnborough site with a Hybrid working arrangement.
Essential Experience:
- Extensive IT Systems design, development, integration, and verification/validation experience.
- Experience of Cloud computing concepts and system engineering toolsets.
- A strong knowledge of engineering governance and the ability to articulate the technical scope of the project to stakeholders.
