About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Highway Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Belfast office and lead the delivery of major national highway schemes and local authority transport improvements across Ireland.

Job Description
  • Manage projects to ensure coordination of multi-disciplinary inputs and work with clients, contractors, statutory bodies, and other stakeholders to programme and undertake works on time and within budget.
  • Lead the pre-construction process and coordinate project delivery teams and external stakeholders to deliver appropriate and cost-effective solutions to the agreed programme.
  • Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise and develop relationships with other WSP teams to utilise additional resources for multidisciplinary projects.
  • Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects, including management of specialist subconsultants' inputs and project management and supervision of medium to high complexity highway schemes.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive post-qualification experience in the design, pre-construction coordination, and construction supervision of major road infrastructure projects. They should also have:

  • Proven knowledge in design, maintenance, and supervision of highways-related projects, including new build, maintenance, and assessment of roads infrastructure.
  • Proven working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW) in relation to highway projects.
  • Proven knowledge of the work of Statutory Undertakers as part of major national highways schemes and the Street Works codes of practice.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Project, and experience or knowledge of highway design packages such as MX/Civils3D and WinDes preferred but not essential.
