Senior/Principal Highways Drainage Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Highways Drainage Engineer to lead our design packages and projects, engage with other disciplines, clients, and site teams, and work collaboratively as part of an expanding and dynamic team.

As a key member of our Transport department, you will be responsible for leading highway drainage technical analysis and design in accordance with relevant standards, working in a team environment with other project engineers to support coordinated and sustainable designs, and checking and reviewing of highway drainage design packages.

You will also be responsible for applying and promoting policies relating to health and safety, quality, and training, leading design and implementation of sustainable solutions, and providing input on bids and contract documentation.

Our ideal candidate will have a proven record as a competent designer on a number of projects, with a confident and professional manner, excellent communication skills, and a good working knowledge of highways drainage design, DMRB, MCHW, DMURS, TII specifications, and industry-standard software including MicroDrainage used in conjunction with Civil3D.

Requirements:

  • BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Good working knowledge of highways drainage design
  • Good working experience working on NTA and/or DfI project control phases and requirements
  • Experienced in the use of industry-standard software
  • Good knowledge of BIM procedures
