The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team as a Lead Foster Care Supervisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directly supporting foster parents within a realistic caseload to ensure high-quality supervision.
You will provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents to enable and monitor their practice, ensuring regulatory standards compliance. Additionally, you will work in partnership with children, young people, foster parents, professionals, local authorities, and stakeholders to facilitate full participation in assessment, planning, review, and decision-making relating to safeguarding and child protection.
Key Responsibilities:- Directly support foster parents within a realistic caseload to ensure high-quality supervision.
- Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents to enable and monitor their practice and ensure regulatory standards compliance.
- Work in partnership with children, young people, foster parents, professionals, local authorities, and stakeholders to facilitate full participation in assessment, planning, review, and decision-making relating to safeguarding and child protection.
- Hold a Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- Desirable: Previous experience or willingness to work in a therapeutic model of childcare.
- Previous experience as a Supervising Social Worker is advantageous.
- Ability to provide high-standard report writing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services and publications.
- Full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.
