About The Role

proAV Limited is a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to join our Egham team, representing proAV. The Senior Production Engineer will be a hybrid role primarily based at our Engineering Hub and will work alongside the Production Team whilst also orchestrating off-site works.

The ideal candidate will possess good technical knowledge and experience in assembling and troubleshooting AV racks, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices. As a Senior Production Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient and reliable rack installations while ensuring the highest level of quality and safety, providing guidance and support to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assemble and wire racks according to specifications and guidelines.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to rack installations.
  3. Maintain accurate documentation of rack inventory.
  4. Prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where multiple rack build projects may be ongoing simultaneously.
  5. Be a point of contact for project managers regarding any and all site work which you will be expected to fill yourself, or where possible arrange resource through AV agencies to meet demands.
  6. Provide leadership and guidance, setting an example to the rest of the team.
  7. Demonstrate a strong sense of professionalism and attention to detail by consistently creating organised and visually appealing rack installations.
  8. Collaborate with Production Managers participating in the development and implementation of new processes.
  9. Train and mentor junior production engineers and technicians.
  10. Pre-prepare cables for upcoming systems.
  11. Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Desirable Skills
  1. Maintain a clean and organised working area.
  2. Act as a role model for other production engineers offering support to junior technicians.
  3. Co-ordinate with internal departments to get a clear understanding of projects and troubleshoot any rack related queries.
  4. Ensure racks are uniform when working with the team on identical systems.
  5. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in rack technology.
