Global Supply Chain Consulting Transformation Director

Our client, a top-tier global consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Consulting Director to join their team focused on the Supply Chain competence area. As a director, you will act as a thought-partner to clients, helping them shape ideas and solve complex problems through building trust, advocacy, and confidence with senior-level Supply Chain leaders.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within a Tier 1 or boutique consulting organization, supporting Pharma, Bio Tech, or Life Sciences clients in large-scale operational transformation projects and programs. You will need to demonstrate strategic thinking about business and industry trends in Supply Chain, using analytical and problem-solving techniques to break down complex issues.

Key areas of project program work will include:

  • Procurement: Strategic, operational, or transactional procurement across the buying lifecycle, including procurement strategy
  • Supply Chain Strategy: Operating Model design, segmentation strategy, and inventory optimization
  • Digital Supply Chain: Next-generation supply chain technologies, such as Robotic Process Automation, cognitive automation, and AI, Internet-of-Things (IOT), Blockchain, and Big Data analytics
  • Supply Chain Analytics: Developing supply chain analytics to deliver enhanced end-to-end SC visibility

As a director, you will lead and support projects for clients that deliver best-in-class results, leveraging capabilities from across the client firm. Outside of engagements, Directors are considered mentors within the firm, acting as people-managers and career coaches across the team and across the Pharma, Bio Tech, and Life Sciences sector.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a track record in business development, pertaining to consulting engagements, experience in managing large-scale often disparate teams, and a reputation for delivering exceptional quality of work for clients, demonstrating an understanding of the client's professional standards and maintaining respectful client relationships.

This is a classic C-Suite consulting role, blending remote, office, and client location work, where you will have the opportunity to help shape and take responsibility for some of the world's most ambitious and complex supply chain transformation projects and programs across the Pharma, Bio Tech, and Life Sciences sector.
