Design Engineer - Vehicle Packaging

The Drvn Automotive Group is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join their exceptional vehicle packaging team. As a key member of the team, you will work on exciting programmes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and follow quality, health, safety, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with design and project engineering teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Develop and supply CAD models and drawings for manufacturing processes.
  • Design and develop CAD, administration activity, BOM, DVP, Family Tree, and Release activity in-line with the company's NPI process and customer-specific process.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Analysis team to meet design targets and drive cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) philosophy is integrated into designs.
  • Communicate with Lead/Principal Engineers to ensure support and help when required.
  • Support Programme teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of CAD and CAE Literacy - Catia V5 within packaging discipline.
  • Engineering design knowledge.
  • Ability and awareness of design to manufacturing process.
  • Understanding of managing engineering change requests and claim management.
  • IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/provided.
