About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to join our team as a Children's Home Registered Manager in our specialist mental health services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a 5-bedded home catering for children aged 12-18 years with mental illness or concerns about their safety. The role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as an understanding of the Mental Health Act and childcare legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans to address the needs of each young person.
  • Recruit, manage, and retain a high-performing team to deliver exceptional care and support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including parents, carers, and other professionals, to promote the welfare of young people.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care and safety are maintained in the home, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Address any complaints or concerns raised by young people, parents, or carers.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
  • Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential, with a preferred Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare at point of application.
  • Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, regulatory requirements, and the Mental Health Act.
