Job Description

C&M Travel Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Executive to join our team. As an Operations Executive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our tour programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Planning and Coordination: Ensure all aspects of the tour program are booked and confirmed with relevant suppliers.
  • Logistical Support: Work closely with the product team to address logistical and commercial details that may impact the performance of the tour.
  • Budget Management: Ensure budgets for all tour elements are adhered to.
  • Supplier Management: Contract all hotels, including guest overnights, and ensure contracts are sent and the database is updated.
  • Flight Booking: Ensure flights are booked to secure the best possible prices.
  • Change Management: Deal effectively with supplier-driven changes, ensuring the best possible outcome for customers and relay details of changes to customers in an efficient manner.
  • Special Requests: Ensure special requests and extras relating to dietary, rooming, and travel are clearly recorded, booked with the appropriate supplier, and conveyed to the tour staff.
  • Documentation: Ensure all tour documentation is delivered to tour managers and suppliers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all tours are health and safety compliant, ensuring all accommodation and local transport has been audited.
  • Pre-Tour Briefings: Organize pre-tour briefings with tour leaders.
  • Duty Officer Rota: Participate in the Duty Officer rota.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience in a sales, operations, customer service, or product role within the travel industry.
  • Language Skills: French or Italian language skills in addition to fluent English are useful but not essential.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Professional, highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Supplier Relationships: Ability to build strong supplier relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Workload Management: Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
Additional Information:
  • Salary: £28k to £30k depending on experience.
  • Work Arrangement: Fully home-based in the UK.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: On-call responsibilities on a rota basis, paid in addition to salary.
  • Annual Leave: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
