We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Culinary Specialist to join our team at Cygnet Health Care. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and delicious meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including special diets and snacks, to meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
- Liaise with nursing colleagues to ensure that our residents' dietary needs are met and that their meals are tailored to their individual requirements.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
- Manage kitchen equipment and supplies, ensuring that they are properly maintained and stored.
- Work collaboratively with the dining services team to ensure that our residents receive exceptional service and that their dining experience is enjoyable and satisfying.
- Proven experience in a culinary or food preparation role, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, nursing colleagues, and other members of the dining services team.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Qualifications in catering or a related field, such as City & Guilds 706: 1 & 2 level or NVQ Level 2/3.
