Medical Examiner Role Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Medical Examiner to join our team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing deaths in a healthcare setting, providing independent scrutiny, and supporting bereaved individuals.

As a Medical Examiner, you will be accountable to medical directors within trusts and have a separate professional line of accountability to the Lead Medical Examiner and National/Regional Medical Examiners. You will work in collaboration with local GPs, care homes, and registrars to review deaths and provide support to families.

The role requires the candidate to have successfully completed mandatory e-learning modules online and attend a face-to-face training session at the Royal College of Pathologists, London. The trust will cover the cost of the training.
